Vietnam Targets $4.5 Billion in Cashew Exports for 2025

Vietnam – Vietnam’s cashew industry has set an ambitious target of $4.5 billion in export revenue for 2025, underscoring the country’s determination to strengthen its position as the world’s leading processor and exporter of cashew products.

Growth Driven by Global Demand Recovery

According to Vietnamese exporters, global demand for cashew nuts is rebounding significantly across the U.S., Europe, and the Middle East. As Vietnam accounts for more than 80% of the world’s processed cashew kernel exports, this demand surge is expected to drive the industry’s growth in 2025.

Advancing Deep-Processing Technology

To reach the $4.5 billion target, Vietnamese producers are investing heavily in deep-processing technology, including roasted cashews, cashew butter, cashew milk, and cashew-based snacks, all designed to boost added value.

Strengthening Raw Material Supply Chains

Vietnam also aims to expand cooperation with domestic and international cashew-growing regions to secure raw material supplies, reduce reliance on imports, and ensure quality control and traceability.

Opportunities to Expand into New Markets

In addition to traditional markets, Vietnamese cashew exporters are targeting South Korea, Japan, and Canada—markets experiencing strong growth in premium nut consumption.

A Breakthrough Expected in 2025

With a clear focus on innovation, quality improvements, and market expansion, Vietnam’s cashew industry is confident in achieving the $4.5 billion export target, maintaining its global leadership in the nut sector.
