9th IPC Marketing Conference in Ho Chi Minh City: Boosting Global Pepper Industry Development

The 9th Marketing Conference of the International Pepper Community (IPC) was held in Ho Chi Minh City on August 21st, in collaboration with the Vietnam Pepper Association (VPA). The conference brought together representatives from IPC member countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, and Vietnam.

The conference served as a platform for delegates from various countries to present the current state of the pepper industry within their nations, highlighting the advantages, challenges, promotional strategies, and marketing efforts aimed at boosting pepper production and exports. It also facilitated direct exchanges among delegates on current issues and discussions about future plans.

During the event, Ms. Hoang Thi Lien, Chairwoman of VPA, provided an overview of the pepper industry in Vietnam. The delegation also had the opportunity to visit a pepper plantation operated by the Bau May Agricultural Cooperative in Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.

The conference concluded successfully, with comprehensive discussions on information regarding the pepper industry in different producing countries, export markets, consumer nations, as well as strategies and solutions for promoting sustainable global development in the pepper processing industry.
