COFFEE PRICES WITNESS DOWNWARD TRENDS ON AUGUST 11, 2023
The local coffee market experienced a general downward trend compared to the previous two days on August 9 and 10, with prices ranging from 67,200 to 67,600 Vietnamese dong per kilogram, marking a decrease of 200 to 400 dong. The highest observed price was 67,800 dong per kilogram, showing an increase of 1,000 dong compared to the previous week.
In specific provinces within the Tay Nguyen (Central Highlands) region, coffee prices varied. Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces witnessed prices at 67,200 dong per kilogram, while Dak Nong province recorded the highest purchase price of 67,800 dong per kilogram.
Meanwhile, in Lam Dong province, the price of coffee cherries (both dried and fresh) in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, and Lam Ha stood at 67,000 dong per kilogram.
Moving to Dak Lak province, coffee prices on this day were observed to be 67,600 dong per kilogram in Cu M'gar district, while in Ea H'leo district and Buôn Hồ town, prices were slightly lower at 66,600 dong per kilogram.

At the end of the trading session, Robusta coffee prices on the ICE Europe – London exchange underwent a decrease. Immediate delivery contracts for September dropped by 9 USD to 2,679 USD per ton, and November contracts decreased by 16 USD to 2,543 USD per ton.
Similarly, Arabica coffee prices on the ICE US – New York exchange continued to decline. September contracts decreased by an additional 0.60 cents to 160.75 cents per pound, and December contracts decreased by 0.65 cents to 160.20 cents per pound.
