PEPPER MARKET PRICE TODAY

Pepper price today 10/7/2023 in the range of 67,500 - 70,500 VND/kg. The world market is still following the progress of this year's harvest in Indonesia. In the domestic market, the decrease in purchase volume from China pushed the price of pepper below the mark of VND 70,000/kg. Last week, pepper prices increased by 500-1,000 VND/kg.

Pepper price today 10/7: Pepper exports to China increased by 800% in the first half of the year

In Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces, today's pepper price is purchased at 68,500 VND/kg.

In Gia Lai province, the pepper price today is at 67,500 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, in Dong Nai, the pepper price today is 68,000 VND/kg.

In Ba Ria - Vung Tau province, today's pepper price is at 70,500 VND/kg.

In Binh Phuoc province, today's pepper price is purchased at 69,500 VND/kg.


Pepper prices today remained stable in localities compared to the same time yesterday. Last week, pepper prices increased by 500-1,000 VND/kg. The International Pepper Community (IPC) also said that the pepper market last week had a mixed reaction to Indonesian white pepper and Malaysian domestic white pepper prices were reported with an upward trend.

The world market is still watching the progress of this year's harvest in Indonesia. In the domestic market, the decrease in purchase volume from China pushed the price of pepper below the mark of VND 70,000/kg.

In June 2023, the US rose to become the largest export market of Vietnamese pepper, reaching 4,801 tons, but down 11.2% compared to May. Exports to China also plummeted 59.0% to 4,200 tons. Top exporters in June include Nedspice: 1,986 tons, Olam Vietnam: 1,622 tons, Phuc Sinh: 1,560 tons…

China is Vietnam's largest pepper export market in the first 6 months of 2023, reaching 50,369 tons, accounting for 32.9% of the export market share and increasing by 798.0% over the same period. In the whole Asia region, exports increased by 60.2% and accounted for 58.3% of the export market share.

Besides, exports to some traditional markets dropped sharply such as India down 41.1%, U.A.E down 29.3%; Pakistan fell 25.9%; South Korea fell 54.2%…In the European region, exports decreased by 10.0% to 26,963 tons, of which most of the traditional markets decreased such as Germany down 30.4%; Netherlands down 22.3%; Britain fell 12.9%, and Ireland fell 66.1%.

However, also in the EU market, exports to some countries increased sharply such as Türkiye, up 102.2%; France up 31.2%…

Exports to Africa reached 7,843 tons, up 17.1%, of which Egypt led by 51.1%, reaching 2,485 tons; followed by Senegal with an increase of 77.4% to 1,763 tons…

Top white pepper import markets: China: 2,261 tons, the United States: 2,002 tons, Germany: 1,715 tons, the Netherlands: 1,300 tons, Thailand: 1,176 tons.
