Pepper prices today 15/5/2023 in the world and domestic markets remained stable. Currently, the domestic price of pepper is kept around 72,000 - 75,500 VND/kg.

World pepper price today 5/15

Pepper prices  today on May 15  in the world market went sideways across countries.

Accordingly, the price of Lampung black pepper in Indonesia is pegged at 3,565 USD/ton. And the price of Muntok white pepper of this country is 6,043 USD / ton.

Malaysia's Kuching ASTA black pepper price remained stable at $4,900/ton; while the country's ASTA white pepper is still priced at $7,300/ton.

For the Brazilian market, the price of black pepper ASTA 570 is at $2,950/ton.

In Vietnam, the export price of black pepper of 500 and 550 g/l is at 3,500 and 3,600 USD/ton, respectively. Export price of white pepper is at USD 5,000/ton.

 Today's world pepper price  continues to have no new changes in all export markets.

Summarizing last week, no country in the world pepper market reported a decrease.

In particular, Indian pepper prices continued to remain stable. Meanwhile, Indonesian pepper price fluctuated slightly when it moved sideways in white pepper but increased slightly in black pepper.

Thus, today's pepper price on May 15, 2023 in the world market remained stable compared to yesterday.

Domestic pepper price today 5/15

Pepper price today  15/5  in the domestic market is sideways compared to yesterday.

Specifically, the price of pepper in Dak Lak and Dak Nong today remained at 73,000 VND/kg;

Today's pepper price in Gia Lai is trading at 72,000 VND/kg;

Today's pepper price in Dong Nai is purchased at 73,000 VND/kg;

The latest pepper price today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau kept at 75,500 VND/kg;

And Binh Phuoc pepper price today 15/5 traded at 75,000 VND/kg.

Domestic pepper price  today  is still maintaining stable, with the highest price of 75,500 VND/kg.

Last week, the domestic pepper market increased sharply by up to 1,500 VND/kg in the Southeast provinces and 1,000 VND/kg in the Central Highlands.

According to a report from the Vietnam Pepper and Spices Association,   our country's pepper exports in the first four months of 2023 increased sharply.

By the end of April 2023, our country has exported 103,018 tons of pepper. In which, black pepper reached 93,982 tons, while white pepper reached 9,036 tons.

Especially, pepper exports to Asia increased by 77%; accounted for 60.2% market share. In particular, China continues to be the main export market of  Vietnamese pepper .

In the first 4 months of 2023, China imported 35,914 tons of pepper, up 1,430.2% over the same period.

Thus, today's pepper price on May 15, 2023 in the domestic market is trading around 72,000 - 75,500 VND/kg.
