Pepper Prices on Nov 11: Up for the Third Consecutive Day, Approaching 70,000 VND/kg

Pepper Prices

Pepper prices today, November 11, range from 66,000 to 69,500 VND/kg. The prices have increased by 500 VND/kg in the Southeast region while remaining stable in other localities compared to the same period yesterday. The domestic market experiences its third consecutive day of price hikes.

In Dak Lak and Dak Nong provinces, today's pepper prices are at 67,000 VND/kg. In Gia Lai province, the price stands at 66,000 VND/kg.  Meanwhile, in Dong Nai, the current price is 66,500 VND/kg, an increase of 500 VND/kg. In Ba Ria-Vung Tau province, pepper is priced at 69,500 VND/kg, up by 500 VND/kg. In Binh Phuoc province, the purchasing price today is 68,500 VND/kg, showing a 500 VND/kg increase.

Pepper prices in the Southeast region have increased by 500 VND/kg, while remaining stable in other localities compared to the same period yesterday. The domestic market has seen a three-day consecutive price hike.


Pepper price update


At the end of the trading week, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at $4,090/ton, a 0.12% decrease; Brazil ASTA 570 black pepper at $3,100/ton; and Kuching black pepper (Malaysia) ASTA maintaining at $4,900/ton.

Muntok white pepper is priced at $6,196/ton, showing a 0.13% decrease; Malaysia ASTA white pepper remains at $7,300/ton.

Vietnam's black pepper trades at $3,500/ton for the 500 g/l type and $3,600/ton for the 550 g/l type, while white pepper is priced at $5,100/ton.

IPC notes that after three weeks of decline, this week's pepper market has shown mixed reactions. Indian pepper prices continue to exhibit a decreasing trend from the previous week, while Indonesian pepper prices show a slight recovery.
