Pepper prices today December 15: Prices in Dak Nong and Dak Lak increased sharply to the highest in the country

  Pepper prices today in the domestic market continue to maintain increasing momentum. Notably, in Dak Nong and Dak Lak, pepper prices increased sharply to the highest level in the country.

Today's pepper price in key pepper growing areas increased from 500 - 1,500 VND/kg, fluctuating between 78,000 - 80,500 VND/kg.

Specifically, pepper prices today in Gia Lai and Dong Nai increased by 500 VND/kg to 78,000 VND/kg - the lowest among the surveyed localities.

Pepper price today in Ba Ria - Vung Tau increased by 500 VND/kg, to 80,000 VND/kg.

Meanwhile, pepper prices in Dak Lak and Dak Nong both increased by 1,500 VND/kg, to 80,500 VND/kg, on par with Binh Phuoc province after increasing by 500 VND/kg - the highest in the country.

According to data from the General Department of Customs, in November 2023, Vietnam's pepper exports to most traditional and potential markets increased compared to the same period last year, except for the Netherlands and Russia.

Notably, Vietnam's pepper export rate to a number of markets was recorded at a high level, increasing by 2 to 3 digits, including: the United States reached 5,528 tons, an increase of 65.5%; India reached 1,263 tons, an increase of 200.0%; Korea reached 628 tons, an increase of 122.7%; England reached 461, an increase of 109.5%…

In the first 11 months of 2023, Vietnam's pepper exports to the Indian market reached 11,866 tons, an increase of 0.4%; Philippines reached 7,173 tons, up 18.3%; Thailand reached 5,148 tons, an increase of 5.9%... compared to the same period in 2022

In contrast, pepper exports to the US market reached 48,783 tons, down 6.1%; The United Arab Emirates (UAE) reached 10,770 tons, down 23.3%; Germany 8,572 tons, down 7.7%; The Netherlands reached 7,174, down 14.6%; Russia reached 5,286 tons, down 7.8%; South Korea reached a decrease of 14.2%, the UK reached 4,732 tons, a decrease of 4.5% over the same period in 2022.

Pepper prices today December 15, 2023 in the world market

On the world market, according to data from the International Pepper Association (IPC), at the end of the trading session on December 14, the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) increased by 0.89% (up 34 USD/ton), up to 3,873 USD/ton; Brazilian black pepper price ASTA 570 stabilised at 3,270 USD/ton.

Muntok white pepper price increased by 0.88% (up 53 USD/ton), to 6,079 USD/ton; Malaysian ASTA white pepper price is stable at 7,300 USD/ton.

Vietnam black pepper price is at 3,700 USD/ton with 500 g/l type, 550 g/l type is at 3,800 USD/ton and white pepper price is at 5,500 USD/ton.

At the Kochi Exchange (India), prices of all types of pepper simultaneously decreased by 100 Rupees/100kg. Specifically, the price of GARBLED pepper dropped to 61,400 Rupees/100kg; UNGARBLED type down to 59,400 Rupees/100kg; 500 GRAM/LITTER type down to 58,400 Rupees/100kg.
