According to forecasts of the Vietnam Coconut Association, by 2024 the export value of coconut and coconut products is expected to reach 1 billion USD, possibly even higher. Along with investment in technology and organic raw material areas by coconut export enterprises, there will be great growth opportunities for coconut exports in the coming time.

Coconut is a traditional crop in Vietnam, up to now there are about 200,000 hectares of land planted with coconut in all parts of the country. Currently, Ben Tre and Tra Vinh are still the leading provinces and cities in the country in coconut growing and coconut processing. Among them, Ben Tre is still the leading province in the country in desiccated coconut production, followed by Tra Vinh.
