According to calculations, the price of peppercorns is only about 65,000 VND/kg (dry pepper), minus the labor costs that make local farmers not enough to pay for the harvest.

At the end of the first session of the week, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at 3,605 USD/ton, up 9 USD/ton; Brazilian black pepper price ASTA 570 at USD 2,950/ton; Kuching black pepper price (Malaysia) ASTA kept at USD 4,900/ton.

Muntok white pepper price is 6,056 USD/ton, up 15 USD/ton; Malaysia ASTA white pepper price is still at 7,300 USD/ton.

Vietnam black pepper price traded at 3,225 USD/ton with 500 g/l grade, 550g/l grade at 3,275 USD/ton; white pepper price at USD 4,780/ton. At the beginning of the new week, IPC has adjusted up Indonesian pepper prices.
