The output of the out-of-season star anise is only equal to 60% of the main crop, but due to the out-of season time, it is scarce so it can often be sold at better price."

  On the other hand, Chinese people keep buying in a bulk quantity fresh star anise flowers. Overall, the total harvesting quantity of Star Anise this crop is lower than every year, and the prices are considered as the highest prices in history.
